A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA
REQUESTING THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, TO MAKE CERTAIN
CHANGES AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROAD N0. 50 AND STATE ROAD N0. 561,
AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER ROBERT M. HOPKINS TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF CLERMONT
AND PRESENT THIS REQUEST TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AT THE PUBLIC HEARING
TO BE HELD IN GROVELAND, FLORIDA ON JUNE 6, 1973.
WHEREAS, State Road No. 50 and State Road No. 561 intersect within
the city limits of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the topography at said intersection creates a dangerous traffic
situation, endangering the lives and property of the citizens of Clermont, of
Lake County, and of the State of Florida.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1
The State of Florida, Department of Transportation, is hereby requested
to alter the grade at the intersection of State Road No. 50 and State Road No. 561
within the city limits of the City of Clermont, Florida and to install appropriate
traffic control devices which will improve visibility and the safety factor.
SECTION 2
The State of Florida, Department of Transportation, is further requested
to accomplish this work as part of State DOT project No. 11070-1504; State Road
50 from State Road 33 in Groveland to State Road 561 in Clermont.
SECTION 3
That City Manager Robert M. Hopkins is hereby authorized and designated
as the City of Clermont representative to attend the Public Hearing to be held by
the Department of Transportation in Groveland on June 6, 1973, and present this
the City of Clermont request that the grade be altered and appropriate traffic
control devices be installed at said intersection of State Road No. 50 and State
Road No. 561.

COUNTY, FLORIDA, this the 6th day of June, A. D., 1973.
