RESOLUTION N0. 222
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING AND APPROVING ACQUISITION
BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA OF THAT CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND SOUTH
OF LAKE LOUISA, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO BE USED AS A STATE
PARK

WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Division of Recreation and Parks,
is considering the purchase of a tract of land South of Lake Louisa, Lake County,
Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, is interested and concerned about
preserving the water quality and quantity in the South Oklawaha River Basin, and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida will preserve this tract of land in
essentially its natural condition;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1
The acquisition of that tract of land South of Lake Louisa by the
State of Florida for use as a State Park is hereby endorsed and approved by the
City of Clermont.
SECTION 2
Should the State of Florida acquire said tract of land, it is requested
that ingress and egress from State Road 25, U.S. Hwy 27, be acquired to alleviate
increased traffic on State Road 561, within the City of Clermont.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, this 16th day of August, A. D. 1973.
