A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO THE STATE
OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION,
ENDORSING STATE PROJECT NUMBER 11070-1510 AND
11070-1505, F. A. PROJECT NUMBER F-022-1 (19) AND
F-o22-1 (20), W. P. NUMBER 512512 AND 512539, MORE
COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE FOUR-CANING OF
STATE ROAD 50 WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND
REQUESTING THAT THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION, AS PART OF SAID PROJECT, TO
CONDUCT A TRAFFIC CONTROL STUDY OF THE INTERSECTION
OF STATE ROAD 50 AND BLOXAM AVENUE IN ORDER TO
DETERMINE IF SIGNALIZATION AT SAID INTERSECTION IS
WARRANTED.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, is
planning to four-lane State Road 50 within the City of Clermont, Lake County,
Florida, State Project Number 11070-1510 and 11070-1505, F.A.Project Number
F-022-1 (19) and F-022-1 (20), W.P.Number 512512 and 512539; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont feels that the
safety and welfare of citizens using State Road 50 will be better protected
by said improvements;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of the City of Clermont does hereby endorse
State Project Number 11070-1510 and 11070-1505, F.A. Project Number
F-022-1 (19) and F-022-1 (20), W.P.Number 512512 and 512539, commonly
referred to as the four-laning of State Road 50, all as presented at the
Design Public Hearing held in Clermont on January 23, 1974.

The State of Florida, Department of Transportation, is hereby
requested to make a traffic control study of the intersection of State
Road 50 and Bloxam Avenue within the City Limits of the City of Clermont
to determine if signalization at said intersection is warranted.
