RESOLUTION NUMBER 229
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY FLORIDA, ENDORSING THE
REQUEST OF THE FLORIDA LIBRARY ASSOCIATION THAT
THE STATE OF FLORIDA FULLY FUND PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
WHEREAS, the Florida Library Association has brought to the
attention of the City Council that the State Library Fund, created by
recent legislative enactment, has not been fully funded by the State of
Florida; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont feels that
improved libraries in local communities will also improve the education
and general welfare of the communities' citizens;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
The City of Clermont endorses the request of the Florida Library
Association and that the State Library Fund be fully funded by the State
of Florida; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
forwarded to the local legislative delegation.

OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, this the 26th day of March,
