RESOLUTION N0. 259
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA; DETERMINING THE
STATUS OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY FORM-
ERLY DESIGNATED "PARKS"; DETERMINING THE FEASIBILTY
OF CONSTRUCTING DRAINAGE BASINS ON SAID PARCELS.
WHEREAS, The State of Florida Department of Transportation has located
and proposes to construct or reconstruct a part of State Road 50 lying with-
in the city limits of the City of Clermont, and
WHEREAS, in order for the State of Florida Department of Transportation
to further and complete said project, it is necessary to locate and construct
certain drainage basins, and
WHEREAS, a desired location for the said drainage basin is described
as:
A parcel of land bounded on the North by State Road 50, bounded
on the East by Sunset Lake, bounded on the South by Sunset Lake,
and bounded on the West by State Road 561, in the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the above-described parcel has been designated "Parks" on
that certain Official Map of the City of Clermont, recorded in Plat Book 8, Pages
17-23 inclusive, Public Records of Lake County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the subject real property
has never been used for "Park", nor is there any indication that the subject
property will ever be used as "Park".
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Clermont, Lake County,
Florida, that
1. The above-described real property has never been used as "Park" and
it does not appear to be feasible to use same as "Park".
2. It is more feasible that the State of Florida Department of Transporta-
tion construct a drainage basin in furtherance of the said project and that this
is in the best interests of the City of Clermont.
