RESOLUTION NUMBER 272
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, RECOMMEND-
ING ROAD PRIORITY IMPROVEMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEPART-
MENT OF TRANSPORTATION FIVE-YEAR ROAD PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida,
has requested recommendations from the City Council of the City of Clermont on
road improvement priorities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to meet
in open session on March 8, 1976 to consider recommendations for the Department
of Transportation Five-Year Road Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont has determined
that improvements to State Highway ~~50 in the City of Clermont is of the highest
priority.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont that the City Council recommends to the Board of County Commissioners,
Lake County, Florida the following improvements to State Highway ~~50,in the City
of Clermont:
1. The widening and four-laning and general im-
provement of State Highway 4~'S0 in the City of
Clermont.
2. Additional traffic control facilities at the
intersection of Bloxam Avenue and State High-
way ~~50 and East Avenue and State Highway ~~50.
3. A single uniform speed limit of 35 M.P.H. on
Highway 450 within the City of Clermont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this resolution be for-
warded to the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida for their consid-
eration.
