RESOLUTION N0. 273
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR
CERTAIN BURIAL BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT.
WHEREAS, old Resolution No. 81 adopted by the City
Council of the City of Clermont on February 16, 1960, provided for
certain burial benefits for employees of the City of Clermont and
their spouses, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of clarifying
Resolution No. 81 and to provide like benefits to retired employees
of the City of Clermont.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Clermont that upon the death of an employee of the City, the
City of Clermont will provide, at the City's expense, a burial space
in the City cemetery for the deceased employee and spouse upon
request of the spouse, heirs, or personal representative.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the death of an employee's
spouse, the City will, at the City's expense, provide a burial space
for the deceased spouse and for the employee, upon request of the
employee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall select the
burial space or spaces, provided, however, that the spouse, employee
or heirs may select different apace and pay any difference in the cost.
