RESOLUTION N0. 290
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, RECOMMENDING ROAD PRIORITY IMPROVE-
MENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FIVE-YEAR ROAD PLAN

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida, has
requested recommendations from the City Council of the City of Clermont on road improve-
ment priorities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to meet in open session
on March 1, 1977 to consider recommendations for the Department of Transportation Five-
Year Road Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont has determined that the
pl.arrned improvements to State Highway #50 in the City of Clermont are of the highest
priority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont
that the City Council recommends to the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County,
Florida, the following improvements to State Highways in the City of Clermont:
1. The scheduled improvements to State Road 50, including new traffic
;signal,s at the Highway's intersection with Bloxam Street, East Avenue, and
Eighth Street; and
2. Improvement to SR 561 by relocating the highway onto the abandoned
railroad right-of-way between 2nd Street and West Avenue and by rerouting the
section now on Eighth Street to West Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida, for their consideration.
