RESOLUTION NUMBER 304
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA; SUPPORTING AND ENDORSING CHAPTER
77-361, LAWS OF FLORIDA; RELATING TO RESTORATION AND
PERPETUATION OF GOVERNMENT CADASTRAL SURVEYS; REQUESTING
THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO IMPLEMENT SAID LAW
FOR THE PURPOSES EXPRESSED THEREIN

WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has enacted Chapter 77-361, Laws of Florida,
entitled the "Florida Public Land Survey and Restoration and Perpetuation Act" relating
to the restoration and perpetuation of government cadastral surveys, and
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this Act to provide a means for the identifiation,
restoration and preservation of the controlling corner monuments established during the
original cadastral surveys to which the vast majority of titles to lands in Florida are
related and dependent, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources is to administer a program of
identification, restoration and preservation and documenting survey corners and corner
accessories established by land surveyors and shall make this information available to
the public.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council supports and endorses the
Florida Public Land Survey Act as being vitally important to the orderly planning, manag-
ment, use, conservation and public enjoyment of Florida's natural resources.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Natural Resources be urged to
implement this Act without undue delay and that the agencies of local government extend
their cooperation and support.
