RESOLUTION N0. 309
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, RECOMMENDING ROAD PRIORITY IMPROVE-
MENTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FIVE-YEAR ROAD PLAN AND COUNTY ROAD PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida has
requested recommendations from the City Council of the City of Clermont on road
improvement priorities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to meet in open
session on March 7, 1978.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont
that the City Council recommends to the Board of County Commissioners, Lake
County, Florida, the following improvement to State and County Highways in the
City of Clermont as the top priority project: Improvement to SR561 by relocating
the highway onto the abandoned railroad right-of-way between 2nd Street and West
Avenue and by re-routing the section now on Eighth Street to West Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a true copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the Board of County Commissioners, Lake County, Florida, for their consideration.
DONE AND RESOLVED this 14th day of February 1978.
