CITY OF CLERMONT
RESOLUTIONS
NO. 513
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN DATES FOR HEARING
AMENDMENTS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, PROVIDING FOR PROCEDURES
THEREFOR, PROVIDING FOR EXCEPTIONS THERETO, AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Chapter l63.3l87, Florida Statutes, 1985, provides
that the Comprehensive Plan may be amended not more than two times
during any calendar year, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County,
Florida has determined that the City Council will accept applica-
tions for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan for the first meeting
in February of each year and the first meeting in August of each
year, and
WHEREAS, the above-cited statute provides for certain exceptions
and procedures relating to amendments to the Comprehensive Plan,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake
County, Florida, hereby resolves that:
l. Applications for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan
shall be considered for introduction by the City Council
during the first meeting in February and first meeting
in August with final adoption at a later date.
2. The procedure for amendment of the Comprehensive Plan
or element portion thereof, shall be as for the original
adoption of the Comprehensive Plan or element portion
thereof set forth in the Florida Statutes, as amended
from time to time.
3. All applications must be filed prior to the time limits"
as scheduled by law.
4. In the case of an emergency, an amendment may be made
more than twice during the calendar year as provided by
Florida law.
5. The Comprehensive Plan may be amended only in such way
as to preserve the internal consistency of the plan
according to law.
6. Corrections, updates, or modifications of current costs
which were set out as part of the Comprehensive Plan shall
not be considered amendments for purposes of this Resolution.
