RESOLUTIONS
NO. 509
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA
ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF ZONING CLEARANCE
WHEREAS, it is found and determined that approval from the City
of Clermont must be obtained for any work to be performed within
the City Limits before a Building Permit can be issued by Lake
County; and
WHEREAS, this includes permits for fences, swimming pools and
enclosures, patios, utility sheds, screen rooms, carports, dish
antennas, and any other residential or commercial structure, in-
cluding conversion of carports or garages to living areas or any
change in use; and
The following procedures shall be followed:
I. Application must be made on City of Clermont zoning
Clearance Form and all appropriate fees paid at the
time of request.
II. Two copies of each site plan and one copy of a
recent survey must be presented at time of application.
Additional copies may be required. Once approved, one
site plan will be forwarded to the County Building
Department.
III. Zoning Clearance will expire if Building Permits have
not been issued by the County within ten days of the
date of Zoning Clearance. All appropriate fees will
be refunded if permit has not been issued.
IV. The building inspections will be performed by the Lake
County Building Department with the following exceptions:
All driveways, sidewalks, drainage and landscaping
inspections must be performed by the City. A
Certificate of Occupancy may not be issued until
City required inspections are completed.
Connections to the City's sewer laterals must be
approved by the County Building Department.
V. All other applicable building codes, ordinances and
regulations must be followed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ABOVE SAID PROCEDURES FOR
THE ISSUANCE OF ZONING CLEARANCE FOR THE CITY OF CLERMONT ARE
HEREBY ADOPTED.
