RESOLUTIONS
No. 626
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN AD VALOREM MILLAGE
RATE TO PARTIALLY FINANCE THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT
OPERATION OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, a portion of the revenue for the City's 1989-1990
Fiscal Year Budget must be raised from the assessment and levy of
an ad valorem tax on each dollar of taxable property in the City
of Clermont, Florida¡ and
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City council
of the City of Clermont that the assessed gross taxable value for
1989 for the City of Clermont, as prepared by the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake and received on June 30, 1989 is
One Hundred Forty-One Million, Three Hundred Thirty Thousand, Two
Hundred and Forty-T~o Dollars [$141,330,242] and that a tax rate
of two point four two nine [$2.429] per One Thousand Dollars
[$1,000] valuation exceeds the "ROLLED BACK" millage rate of the
City by ten point one six percent [10.16%] ¡ and
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City of
Clermont, that to raise.. the sum of Three Hundred Twenty-Six
Thousand Dollars [$326,000] required from ad valorem taxes for the
general government 'operation of this City¡ an ad valorem taxation
of all taxable property of this City is required to be levied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, there is hereby levied and
shall be collected Qn each dollar of taxable property in the City
of Clermont, Florida:, a tax levy of two point four two nine [2.429]
mills, or an adjusted millage rate that will raise an amount equal
to Three Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars [$326,000] for the
general government operation of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake, is hereby directed to extend the
Assessment Roll of the City¡ here·tofore equalized, confirmed and
approved, and to deliver same tax to the Tax Collector of the
County of Lake, and the aforesaid Tax Collector is hereby directed
to collect said taxes at the time and in the manner provided for
by law.
