RESOLUTIONS
NO. 617
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING FEES
FOR MULTIPLE FALSE ALARMS.
WHEREAS, City of Clermont Ordinance 259-C, incorporated into
Chapter 14, Section 14-26, of the City of Clermont Code of
Ordinances adopts regulations for the use of privately owned
burglar and fire alarms; and
WHEREAS, Section 4 of Ordinance 259-C establishes a fee for
multiple false alarms; and
WHEREAS, Section 4 of Ordinance 259-C states that should an
Enforcement Off icial, as def ined therein, respond to more than
three false alarms at one premises within the calendar quarter, the
City of Clermont shall charge the owner according to a fee schedule
as adopted by Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that commencing with the calendar
quarter beginning July 1, 1989, and continuing with each succeeding
quarter thereafter, should an enforcement official, as defined in
Ordinance 259-C, respond to more than three false alarms at one
premises within the calendar quarter, the City of Clermont shall
charge the owner, as defined in Ordinance 259-C, according to the
following schedule:
A. Fal se Fire Alarm - $100 each in excess of three (3) per
quarter
B. False Police Alarm - $30 each in excess of three (3) per
quarter
