Resolution No. 2020-23RCC CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTION NO.2020-23R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT CITY MANAGER AS AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 2020-11R OF THE CLERMONT CITY COUNCIL EXTENDING THE DECLARATION OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY AS DECLARED BY RESOLUTION 2020-11R AND RELATED TO THE CORONAVIRUS COVE[)-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, Emergency Management provides for Local Emergencies; and WHEREAS, the Clermont City Council adopted Resolution 2020-11R on March 17, 2020 declaring a Local State of Emergency related to the public health emergency of international concern related to Coronavirus COVID-19; and WHEREAS, the Resolution 2020-11R granted authority to the Clermont City Manager to cancel or extend the Local State of Emergency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Manager of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida as follows: SECTION 1. Emergency Declaration Extended The Local State of Emergency declared by the Clermont City Council by Resolution 2020-11R is hereby extended in its entirety for seven (7) days from the date hereof. SECTION 2. Effective Date and Authority The Extended Local State of Emergency shall take effect immediately. The City Manager is specifically and expressly authorized to cancel or extend the Local State of Emergency as may be required.
