RESOLUTIONS
N0. 544
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, GRANTING TO LAKE COUNTY THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE
THE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR BUILDING CONTRACTORS WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUATION OF
CONSTRUCTION PERMITTING AND INSPECTION BY LAKE COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, has determined
that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Clermont to provide
consistency to and the enforcement of licensing requirements for
building contractors; and
WHEREAS, Lake County has been satisfactorily issuing construction
permits and conducting inspections for the City for the past three
years;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Clermont hereby grants authority to Lake County for the enforcement
of the licensing requirements for all building related contractors
operating within the corporate limits of the City of Clermont by mutual
agreement between Lake County and the City of Clermont; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that authority is granted to Lake County for
the continuation of the issuance of building permits and inspections by
mutual agreement between Lake County and the City of Clermont.
