RESOLUTIONS
531
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING A COUNTYWIDE MORITORIUM ON
THE PERMITTING OF MOBILE HOME PARKS
WHEREAS, much of the land in Lake County that was once used
exclusively for agriculture is now chan&ing to other uses; and
WHEREAS, much of the land is being developed for residential
uses, nearly two-thirds of which have been mobile homes since
1980; and
WHEREAS, a balanced diversification of housing types is needed
in order to encourage desirable growth;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Clermont, Lake County Florida that the City supports a county-
wide moritorium on the permitting of mobile home parks until such
time as a development policy encouraging diversified housing types,
in strict conformance with the Lake County Comprehensive Plan is
developed and adopted.
