Pearl May Schoenholz 100th BirthdayCity of Clermont Proclamation • WHEREAS, PEARL MAY SCHOENHOLZ will be honored by friends and relatives on the occasion of her lOOth birthday on March 1, 1996; and WHEREAS, she was born on March 1, 1896 and has been a resident of this community since 1933; became the wife of William on August 7, 1913 and this marriage was blessed with four children, seventeen grandchildren; and Forty -Two+ great and great -great grandchildren; and WHEREAS, in addition to her duties as support -mate and mother, she has been active in church and civic responsibilities, including a member of the Clermont Recreation Club for 63 years where she is an active shuffleboard participant; a member of the South Lake Presbyterian Church; Clermont Woman's Club; and a volunteer in the Kitchen Pots & Pans group; WHEREAS, during a long and productive lifetime, she has demonstrated in countless ways her dedication to the welfare of others by cooking, painting, knitting, crocheting and crafting countless gifts, and her many years of nursing loved ones in her home. She has earned the respect and affection of people from all walks of life and all ages with her kind and enduring love and patience; and WHEREAS, in recognition of her love of shuffleboard and civic dedication to • the City of Clermont and its residents does this Council name the Kehlor Shuffleboard Court the PEARL MAY SCHOENHOLZ Shuffleboard Court; and WHEREAS, she has lived during the most eventful century of this world's history, (her cousins helped Henry Ford build the first Model-T and assembly -line factory in Detroit, Michigan) and in her quiet way has been a force for good and a stabilizing influence on those around her during these turbulent years; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Clermont, I do hereby deem it an honor and pleasure to extend this Certificate of Recognition to PEARL MAYSCHOENHOLZ on the occasion of her lOOth birthday, with sincere congratulations and best wishes for many more happy, productive years in the future.
