Proclamation #2021-003PPROCLANATIION
WhereaS, Marvin "Jake" Jacobson was a dedicated and long serving member of the
Clermont Shuffleboard Club; and
WhereaS, Marvin "Jake" Jacobson volunteered many hours at the Kehlor Recreation
Center and Park where he had a true love for the game of shuffleboard; and
WhereaS, the City Council at their meeting on December 8, 2020, considered,
approved, and directed staff to draft a document formally memorializing
their decision to name the shuffleboard courts at Kehlor Park the "Marvin
`Jake" Jacobson" Shuffleboard Courts; and
WhereaS, the City Parks and Recreation Department shall erect a plaque to be placed
onsite at the shuffleboard courts so that all may know that the shuffleboard
courts are named in honor of Marvin "Jake" Jacobson; and
VhereaS, this proclamation shall supersede all other proclamations made by the City
Council and shall repeal and/or replace any alternative naming provided for
the shuffleboard courts at Kehlor Park;
NOW, Therefore, I, Tim Murry, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida,
do hereby proclaim the shuffleboard courts at Kehlor Park to forever be named as:

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the
City of Clermont to be affixed this 9th Day of February in the year Two Thousand and
