RESOLUTION NO.2022-019R
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA
DIVISION OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS CULTURAL FACILITIES
PROGRAM REQUESTING $200,000 FOR THE CLERMONT
PERFORMING ARTS CENTER AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING AN
AMOUNT OF $400,000 AS THE CITY'S MATCHING FUNDS; AND
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont has the opportunity to apply for funding in the amount
of $200,000 for the Clermont Performing Arts Center, with the stipulation of 2 to 1 in matching
funds; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $400,000 is necessary for the required match and
will be available no later than July 1, 2023, if the grant is awarded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida as follows:
SECTION 1:
That the above recitals are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2:
The City Council hereby authorizes the use of $400,000 in eligible expenditures to be available by
July 1, 2023 for required matching funds for a grant application to the Florida Division of Cultural
Affairs in the quest for funding of the Clermont Performing Arts Center.
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
