Let this letter serve as official notification to request use of the
Jaycee Beach area for the Birchfield and Liebel Big Top Circus on the
date of Tuesday, December 19,1989. The circus will be sponsored by
Clermont V.F.W. Post # 5277. The Post Commander is Mr. Paul Hollenback
his phone number is 394 2285.
We will provide $1,000,000.00 liability insurance, abide by all fire
regulations and clean up the location.
This is part of a Christmas tour thats starts in Sanford for the Jaycees
on Dec. 17, Dec. 21 in Winter Garden for the Jaycees, Dec. 22 and 23
for the Kissimmee-St. Cloud Jaycees.
As you know from taking your own family I have been presenting my magic
show in Clermont for several years most recently at Jenkins Auditorium
under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce in February of this
year.
Please ~lace this on the agenda for October 24. I will be present to

agree to the following;
That Bill Birchfield will provide;

A family type circus known as the BIRCHFIELD AND LIEBEL GREAT
TRAVELING BIG TOP CIRCUS. The show will consist of a baby elephant,
trained dogs and ponies, clowns, magic, jugglers, aerialists and
other novelty acts for a duration of no less than 60 or more than 90
minutes per show.
The show(s) will be presented on the date(s) of

The circus tent with adequate seating, lighting, sound, etc.
All tickets, posters, flyers, press releases as deemed necessary by
Bill Birchfield.
All costs of advertising as placmby Bill Birchfield or his authorised
agent.
The location for the show and all expenses thereof.
$1,000,000.00 in liability insurance naming the sponsoring organization,
and the property owners as additionally insured. (Certificates of
insurance will be issued no less than seven business days prior to the
show date).
A show agent to conduct the advance sale of tickets and publicity.

Sponsorship of the circus in the form of authorization to use the
organization's name in publicizing the circus for the sole purpose
of ticket sales and show attendanceo
A show fund checking account requiring the signatures of the show
agent and the appointed show treasurer. (It is understood that
the agents signature is required before any withdrawls from this
account can be made). This account is to be separate of all other
accounts. The sponsoring organization is responsible for all expenses
of this special account.

It is mutually agreed that;
A.
Ticket prices will be:
Prior to time and place of performance,SI.OO for children, (age 12
and under), $5.00 for adults (over age 12). A special family ticket
may be sold for $20.00, this ticket will admit five children or a
family up to five.
Tickets sold at the door will be $5.00 for children, (age 12 and
under), $6.00 for adults, (over age 12). No family ticket will be
sold the day of the show.

B. Disbursement of funds shall be as follows;
Gross proceeds from the sale of tickets sold by the show agent
prior to time and place of performance will be divided 20% to the
sponsoring organization, 80% to Bill Birchfield.
NOTE .

The show agent will receive 50% of the monies deposited by
him daily upon deposit. The remaining 50% will remain in
the show fund account until the date of performanceo
Gross proceeds from the sale of tickets sold by the sponsorin~
organization prior to time and place of performance will be divided
50% to the organization and 50% to Bill Birchfield. It is also
understood that NO tickets will be sold by the sponsoring organization
the day of the show.
Gross proceeds from the sale of tickets sold at the door the Bay of
the show will be divided 20% to the sponsoring organization, 80% to
Bill Birchfield.
BILL BIHCHFIELD WILL GUARANTEE THE SPONSORING ORGANIZATION~~OO.OO
REGARDLESS OF TICKETS SOLD. THIS AMOUNT IS PART OF THE ORGANIZATION'S
PERCENTAGES LISTED ABOVE.
It is also mutually agreed that;

The sponsoring organization will in no way be held responsible for
personal injury received by any member of the audience or circus
staff. They also will not be held accountable for any damage or
in~ury inflicted by any other persons other t?an themselves.
.- B. -In ~he event the circus cannot be performed due 'to ~xcessive weather:
conditions the show will be rescheduled to a' future date at the
descretion of the circus producer;

Bill Birchfield retains the rights to ALL proceeds from the sale
of all concessions. I~cluding popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, hot-
dogs, Nachos, snow cones, hamburgers, sausage sandwich's, and
any other food items.
D.
Bill Birchfield retains the rights to ALL proceeds from the sale
of all non-food items. Including pony and elephant rides, side-
show tickets, moon-bounce tickets, balloons, programs, coloring
books, clown faces, photography, toys and novelty itemso
Bill Birchfield retains the rights to all conces~ions on the
entire circus lot and adjacent parking areas.

Final disbursements of funds shall take place no later than at the
conclusion of the final performance.
