AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY O~'
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF lA
CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIE ;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AN
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Florida has received a Petition f~r
Annexation of a parcel of land contiguous to the present corporate limits under Section 171.044,
Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Florida, has determined that it is i,n
the best interest of the City and of the property herein sought to be annexed that the City annex the
following described property, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the area sought to be annexed ~s
contiguous to the City and is in need of the services which the City can offer and the City hajs
determined that such area sought to be annexed will be substantially benefited by annexation, an~
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that all requirements of Section 171.044,
Florida Statutes, have been met.
SECTION 1:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, under the provisions of Florida Statute Chapt~'r
171 and the General and Special Laws of the State of Florida; that the City of Clermont, Florida,
does hereby annex to and make part of its corporate boundaries, the following described property
contiguous to the present City boundary, to-wit:
A tract of land lying in Section 11, Township 23 South, Range 26 East, Lake County, Florida, being
more particularly described as follows:
BEGIN at the Southwest corner of Section 11, thence N 00°45'13" E along the West line of the
Southwest'/a of Section 11, for a distance of 2622.04 feet to the Southerly right of way of Hartwoo~l
Marsh Road; (An 80.00 foot right of way per Official Record Book 1299, Page 1952) thence
89°53' S 8" E along said right of way for a distance of 2028.97 feet to the point of curvature of a curv~
concave Northwesterly, having a radius of 240.00 feet, thence along the arc of said curve through
central angle of 55°50'24" for a distance of 233.90 feet, thence S 00°42' 12" E 88.68 feet to the
North line of the Southwest'/4 of Section 11; thence S89°25'03" E along the North line of said

Southwest 1/4 for a distance of 416.58 feet, thence departing said North line S00°40'24" W along tl~e
East line of the Southwest'/4 of Section 11 for a distance of 2655.84 feet to the South line of Section
11; thence N 89°26'58" W along said South line for a distance of 2646.62 feet to the Southwest
corner of Section 11 and the POINT OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2:
That the aforedescribed property shall be and hereby is made part and parcel of the City of
Clermont, Florida, and that said property shall be subject to all of the laws, ordinances, and
provisions pertaining to the City of Clermont. ~,
SECTION 3:
All property aforedescribed shall henceforth be subject to ad valorem taxation by the City o~
Clermont, and any other general or special taxes or assessments.

SECTION 4:
Should any section or part of a section be declared invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or affect any other provision of this ordinance, excep~
to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may inseparable in meaning and effect from
the section to which such holding shall apply.
SECTION 5:
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law, and it shall become law and take effect,
upon its second reading and Final passage.
