2005-09• TASK ORDER NO. 8 TO PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT DATED AUGUST 12, 2003 EAST AVENUE TRAIL LIGHITNG Prepared for: City of Clermont (City) Prepared by: Boyle Engineering Corporation (Boyle) General The City of Clermont (City) desires to add lighting along a trail near East Avenue and Lake Minneola Drive. Alighting control panel will be provided for the new lighting. The following presents the specific tasks, which will be performed as part of this Task Order. Because of the nature of this work, certain assumptions have been made in preparing this Task Order. To the extent • possible, these assumptions are stated herein and are reflected in the budget for services. If the work tasks required are different from the assumptions presented herein or if the City desires additional services, the resultant changes in scope and budget will serve as a basis for modifying this Task Order as agreed to by both the City and Boyle. Boyle's Scope of Services Boyle's scope of services for design of the project includes the following: Electrical Design Services Boyle will prepare one (1) electrical drawing to depict the details for the lighting control panel. Boyle will also prepare an opinion of probable construction cost for the lighting control panel. Boyle's work under this Task Group will not include designing the layout of the light poles, preparing a site plan showing the pole locations, or confirming illumination level adequacy. Boyle's work will include sizing the electrical feeder circuit, lighting panel branch circuit breakers, lighting contactors, and two branch circuits to the poles. Boyle will review the power requirements and available fault current with the power company. Boyle will submit 90% design contract documents to the City for review, and will incorporate the City's appropriate comments into the final contract documents. • East Avenue Trail Lighting Page 1 of 3 March 25, 2005 East Ave Trail Ltg TO.doc • Bidding Phase Services Bidding phase services are not included in this task order. If requested by the City, Boyle will provide bidding phase services on a time and material basis in accordance with the Agreement. Construction Phase Services Construction phase services are not included in this task order. If requested by the City, Boyle will provide construction phase services on a time and material basis in accordance with the Agreement. Services Not Included The following services are not included in this Task Order: 1. Illumination level calculations. 2. Pole layouts along the trail. 3. Survey work. 4. Site visits. 5. Bidding phase services. • 6. Construction phase services. City's Responsibilities The City shall be responsible for providing the following in a timely manner so Boyle can complete its work and not delay the performance of services. 1. Designate the City Engineer, or their designated agent, to act as City's representative with respect to the services to be rendered under this Agreement. The City Engineer or their agent shall have complete authority to transmit instruction, receive information, and interpret and define City's policies and decisions with respect to Boyle's services for this Project. 2. Provide Boyle with all pole, lamp, and ballast load data, and pole quantities per circuit, to allow accurate load calculations to be performed. 3. Promptly review, comment on, and return Boyle's submittals. Ten (10) days have been allocated in the schedule for each City review. 4. All information provided to Boyle by the City, and others retained by the City, shall be used without verification. 5. Copy and distribute bidding documents including addendums to the potential bidders. • 6. Promptly advise Boyle when the City becomes aware of any defect, deficiency, or changed condition. Provide daily inspection services during construction. 9. Provide other such services and assistance as needed to expedite and complete this Project. Deliverables (BOYLE) Boyle will provide the City the following deliverables: 1. Three (3) copies of the 90% construction documents. • • 2. Three (3) copies of the final construction documents. One reproducible set of the construction documents will be provided to the City for use in the bidding phase services. Period Of Service The schedule will commence when all the requested data have been received by Boyle. The 90% review submittal will be provided within 21 days of anotice-to-proceed. The final submittal will be submitted within 7 days of receiving the City's written comments on the 90% submittal. It is expected that all services under this Task Order will be complete within 45 days of Boyle's notice-to-proceed. Compensation Boyle shall be paid in accordance with Section 3 of the Agreement. A budget showing the estimated number of hours and other project fees for the tasks described within the Task Order is presented in the Project Budget. These budgeted amounts were used to determine the lump sum of $3,898 for the project. Monthly progress payments are allowed, based on Boyle's estimate of percent complete for each Task Group. Authorization This Task Order serves as an Exhibit to the Consultant Agreement dated August 12, 2003, between the City of Clermont and Boyle Engineering Corporation, and is hereby incorporated into this Task Order by reference.
