A G R E E MEN T
This Agreement, by and between the VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS, herein called
VFW, and the CITY OF CLERMONT, herein called CITY, dated thi~ / Jf~ day of
~~L .1977.
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of Lot 4, Block 90, City of Clermont,
according to the Official Map of the City of Clermont, recorded in Plat Book
8, pages 17 to 23, inclusive, Public Records of Lake County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the VFW is desirous of beautifying said lot and improving same
to be used as a public park and named "VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK".
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree:
1. The City grants to the VFW permission to develop and beautify said lot
as a public park and to be designated VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK. All plans and
improvements must first be reviewed and approved by the City Manager.
2. The park shall remain a public park accessible to any public group or
organization and the public in general.
3. The City shall maintain the park to the same extent that it maintains
City parks, as determined by the City. The VFW will be responsible for any
further maintenance beyond that performed by the City.
4. The City assumes no further liabilities to the VFW. its officers,
members or employees, under this agreement.
