INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Agreement entered this 25th day of June, 1985, by and
between Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Flor ida,
hereinafter referred to as. "County" and the municipalities who
have signed this Agreement hereinafter
referred to as
"Municipalities,"
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 336.025 allows counties to impose
additional local option gas taxes to be used for transportation
expenditures, and
WHEREAS, in 1984, the Board of County Commissioners levied a
2 cent (two) additional local option gas tax which was divided
between the county and eligible Municipalities pursuant to
Florida Statute 336.025(4), and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to
increase the tax beg inning in 1985 to 4 cents (four) on each
gallon of motor fuel and special fuel sold in Lake County and
taxed under the provisions of Chapter 206, and
WHEREAS, County and Municipalities wish to have the
additional 2 cents (two) gas tax distributed between the County
and eligible Municipalities on the same basis as the original 2
cent (two) gas tax.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows:
1. This Agreement is entered into by County and
Municipalities pursuant to Florida Statute 336.025 and 163.01.
2. A. The proceeds of the additional 2 cent (two) gax tax
imposed pursuant to Florida Statute 336.025 shall be divided
among Lake County and the eligible Municipalities in Lake County
in the same manner and in the same percentages as the first 2
cent (two) gas tax imposed to said statute.
The effect ~f this
will be to have all 4 cents (four) gas tax distributed 69.04% to
County and 30.96% to eligible Municipalities.
B. The proceeds of all 4 cents (four) gas tax to be
d istr ibu ted to the el ig ible Munic ipal i ties shall be divided in
the same manner and in the same percentages as the first 2-cent
(two) gas tax imposed pursuant to said statute.

this will be to distribute the shares to eligible Municipalities
based upon the percentage of their transportation expendi tures
for the years 1978/79 through 1982/83.
3. This Agreement may be modified if agreed to in writing
by all parties hereto.
