1984-24 84-24 MUTUAL FIRE PROTECTION AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT made between the BOARD OF COUNTY CO~WISSIONERS OF LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, (hereinafter called the County) and the CITY OF CLERMONT a municipal corporation in Lake County, Florida (hereinafter called the City) witnesseth, That in consideration of the mutual covenants and - the respective undertakings of the parties hereto, the City hereby agrees as follows: 1. This agreement 1S made pursuant to the author- ization of Chapter 125, Florida Statutes; and other applicable law. 2. The term of this agreement shall be from October 1,~84 through September 30, 1987, both inclusive. 3. During the term of this agreement the City may respond to, suppress and control fires in a portion of the County to the extent permitted by its fire department's best efforts limited by its manpower and equipment resources. The service area for extended fire protection in the County is to be defined at the discretion of the City. 4. The City may contract, uS1ng rates established 1n the structure tax fire referendum or charge user fees for services rendered outside the municipal boundaries. Rate schedule attached. 5. The City agrees to make available to the County information relating to fire calls responded to 1n the County area. RESIDEi\'TIAL Each individual residential type structure and residential rental space shall be assessed not to exceed $35.00 annually. II. INSTITUTIONAL, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL . All institutional, commercial and industrial structures shall be assessed not to exceed $.06 per square foot annually, provided~ however, the minimum assessment shall be $35.00. III. AGRICULTURAL LAND AND ACREAGE All agricultural, timber, grazing lands and other agricultural type land and acreage shall be assessed not to exceed $.10 per acre. IV. VACANT LOTS OR PARCELS All vacant lots or parcels not identified above shall be assessed not to exceed .$5.00 per lot or parcels. V. MISCELLANEOUS All other structures not listed above which contain minimum of 250 square feet shall be assessed $.02 per square foot annually, not to exceed $35.00. VI. USER FEES User fees charged for responding to non-contracted requests for assistance to be determined by City/Town. .
