AN ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CLOSING AND PERMANENTLY ABANDONING THAT
PORTION OF MINNEOLA AVENUE LYING WEST OF TWELFTH STREET, AND
LYING NORTH OF BLOCK 141 JOHN SONS REPLAT AND SOUTH OF BLOCK 142
JOHNSONS REPLAT, CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 8, PAGES 17 TO 23 INCLUSIVE, PUBUC RECORDS,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA; RESERVING TO THE CITY OF CLERMONT AN
EASEMENT FOR INGRESS EGRESS, AND MAINTENANCE, UTIUTIES, SANITARY
SEWER AND STORMWATER; REPEAUNGALLORDINANCES IN CONFLIcr
HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABIUTY, PROVIDING FOR PUBUCATION
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEcrIVE DATE.
The City Council of the City of Clennont, Lake County, Florida hereby ordains that:
SEcrION 1:
That portion of Minneola Avenue lying west of Twelfth Street, and lying north of Block
141 Jolmsons Replat and south of Block 142Jolmsons Replat located within the City of Clennont,
· Lakc County, Florida is hereby closed and pennanen!ly abandoned.
Reserving to the City of Clennont an easement for ingress and egress, maintenance, utilities,
sanitary sewer and stonnwater within said roadway. '
SEcrION 2:
T\ús closing is done pursuant to the aUÙlOrity of the Charter of the City of Clermont, Lake
County, Florida and the general laws of the State of Florida.
SEcrION 3:
All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealcd.
SEcrION 4:
Should any section or part of this scction be declared invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply to or affect any other provision of this Ordinance,
except to the extent that !lIe entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning
and eITect from the section to which such holding shall apply.

Any person requesting a Right-of-way or Easement Closing shall file a comDlete application in
the office of the Director of Planning thirty (30) days prior to the final hearing date of the City
Council. All applications must be comDlete, to include applicable site plans and/or other
pertinent descriptive materials in order to be processed. The applicant must supplv fifteen (15)
copies of the application and supplemental materials. .
The petitioner shall furnish the following information to accompany this application:
1. A plot plan showing the location of that portion of the right-of-way or easement requested to
be closed and pennanently abandoned. (A survey of the property and right-of-way or
easement involved may be deemed necessary by the City Council or the City Attorney).
2. A fee of $25.00.
