CITY OF CLERMONT
RESOLUTION
NO. 1120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
TRANSFERRING THE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT OF STRATEGIC
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. ("STI") TO FSN CABLE, INC., A WHOLLY OWNED
SUBSIDIARY OF MOFFAT COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED ("MOFFAT")
PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO SAID FRANCHISE
AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Clermont adopted Ordinance No. 307-M on Apri19, 1996; and
WHEREAS, "STI" was granted a franchise to provide cable television service for the
City of Clermont with the adoption of Ordinance No. 307-M; and
WHEREAS, "STI" has proposed to transfer the Franchise to FSN Cable, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, certain amendments to the Franchise Agreement are desirous, and
WHEREAS, FSN Cable, Inc. will be bound by the terms and conditions of the Franchise
subject to applicable law, and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that, insofar as maybe necessary or advisable under
the Franchise, transfer of the Franchise and the cable television system operating pursuant to the
• Franchise from "STI" to FSN Cable, Inc. is hereby authorized and consented to in all respects.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Section 9 of the Franchise Agreement shall be
amended to include the following language:
"The licensee shall provide and maintain at least one (1) specially designated and
noncommercial public access channel available on a first-come,
nondiscriminatory basis."
THIS RESOLUTION shall take effect upon its passage and adoption in the manner
provided by law.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS 25"' DAY OF APRIL, 2000.
