RESOLUTION
NO. 1109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING PRIORITY FUNDING FOR HIGHWAY 50
IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont is keenly aware that there are now and will continue
to be ever increasing traffic congestion problems in the Highway 50 corridor due to ongoing
development; and
WHEREAS, that to accommodate future responsible development, widening and
improvements to Highway 50 are of critical importance; and
WHEREAS, the environmental studies and planning for improvements to Highway 50
. are now scheduled for 2002/03, with actual construction even further in the future;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we respectfully request that this project
be given priority funding so that work can start in 2000.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS 25TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2000.
