RESOLUTION
No. 999
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE LAKE COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPLICATIONS
TO THE 1999 GREENWAYS AND TRAILS PROGRAM
PRESERVATION 2000 LAND ACQUISITIONS.
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board of County Commissioners is preparing
applications for acquisition funding, and
WHEREAS, the awarding of these funds will provide for the purchase of land to
• provide for new public Rails to Trails facilities, and
WHEREAS, Rails to Trails facilities provide recreation and alternative transportation
to residents and visitors of Lake County, and
WHEREAS, these Rails to Trails are in the best interest of the citizens of Lake County
and provide recreational use for future generations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida that they support the Lake County Board of County
Commissioners applications to the 1999 Greenways and Trails Program Preservation 2000
Land Acquisition.
