RESOLUTION
No. 881
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CLOSING OF PORTIONS OF LAKE l\1INNEOLA DRIVE TO
MOTORIZED VEIDCULAR TRAFFIC; AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO TAKE SUCH ACTION TO CLOSE LAKE
l\1INNEO LA DRIVE TO M OTO RIZED VEID CULAR TRAFFIC
WHEN IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED BY THE CITY MANAGER
THAT AN ALTERNATE ROUTE TO THE PROPOSED
WATERFRONT PARK IS AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida,
has determined that portions of Lake Minneola Drive should be temporarily closed to
motorized vehicular traffic in connection with the waterfront improvements to the
south shore of Lake Minneola, and
WHEREAS, an alternate route for motorized vehicular traffic is being
developed for the area.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that:
1. Lake Minneola Drive shall be closed to motorized vehicular traffic from the
west right-of-way line of East Avenue to the east right-of-way line of 4th Street,
according to the Official Map of the City of Clermont, recorded in Plat Book 8, Pages
17-23, Public Records of Lake County, Florida.

2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to take such action as is necessary
to close those portions of Lake Minneola Drive to motorized vehicular traffic when it
has been determined by the City Manager that an alternate route for motorized
vehicular traffic to the proposed Waterfront Park is available.
4. Nothing herein shall be deemed to constitute a closing and/or permanently
abandoning those portions of Lake Minneola Drive.
