National Hospice Month• City of Clermont ~a~~ ~eca~u~ ~2~o~;Qa~u~1`la`t WHEREAS, hospice staff and volunteers provide a special kind of caring for those in our community who are terminally ill; and WIiEREAS, the country's 2,000 hospices helped to meet the medical, emotional and spiritual needs of more than 275,000 terminally ill adults and children last year alone; and WHEREAS, Hospice of Lake & Sumter celebrates its 10th anniversary in November; and VVf~REAS, Hospice of Lake & Sumter has provided its services to more than 5,000 patients and their families since its founding; and WHEREAS, an increase in public awareness and understanding of hospice care will better serve the families of our community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Clermont recognizes Hospice of Lake & Sumter for the special care they provide and join in observing the month of November as '12atlocsal ~fo~lee '~12ocrtl~ • We actively encourage the support and participation of friends, neighbors, colleagues, and fellow citizens in hospice activities and programs now and throughout the coming year.
