WHEREAS, on'this day, November 14, 1987, the congregation ofi
the New Jacob's Chapel Baptist Church, their famil~.es and friends _
are gathered together to celebrate part of their Annual Homecoming
with 'this parade; and

WHEREAS, we give pause, honor and praise this day for thQSe
whosQ deep and. abiding commitment made possible the construCt'ion
of this House 'of Worship located on the coiner of Highway SQ;and
Fourth Street," and which was and dedicated to the work of the
Lord in January of 1983; and i~

WHEREAS,'the pastor of this church is William N.`McKinney,
who has served the church. for many years, and under whose !~
guidance and'directlop the New Jacob's Chapel Baptist church;, ~ ';
became a stationed church in January of 1984 and held tlae ;' ',
mortgage burnipg ceremony in August of 1985,,
NOW. THEREFORE, I; Robert A. Pool, by virture of the authority ~~~
vested in me as Mayor'of the City 'of Clermont, do 'hereby extend
to the Jacob's'Chapel!Baptist Church this Proclamation of
Recognition .and extend our congratulations and best wishes to
Pastor McKinney and the members of his congregation who`have'~-
worked so faithfully end given so'generouely to make this .beautiful
