RELATIVE TO
THE ONE-MILLION CUSTOMERS
OF
FLORIDA POWER CORPORATION
WHEREAS, Florida Power Corporation's service to the people of
the State of Florida predates the turn of the present
century when electrical customers could be numbered
in the hundreds; and
WHEREAS, in the autumn of 1986 those few hundreds have surpassed
all expectation to become one-million customers who
rely on electrical service from Florido Power Corporation;
and
WHEREAS, the growth we have witnessed in our area has resulted
in both our community and our electric company meeting
the challenges associated with it on a partnership basis;
and
WHEREAS, this partnership has been evidenced by our respective
employees looking upon each of our citizens with the
same regard and consideration afforded a neighbou~;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED, that I do hereby proclaim
the period of November 17-21, 1986 as
ENERGY NEIGHBOR WEEK
and do urge all citizens, including those in public office,
government administration, business, industry, and
labor to join in recognition of the value of electricity
adding to our strength and prosperity.
