MAYORAL PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Clermont Highlander Band has received a "SUPERIOR"
Rating in District V Competition, and has s~ualified for the State
Contest to be held on-May 10 through 12, 1984 in Ta~.lahassee,
Florida ,.. and
WHEREAS, this is only the second time in the history of Clermont
High School that a band has received such an honor in concert
competition, and
WHEREAS, band members are not only active in school affa~.rs, but
• also very active after school-within our community, and the Highlander
Band will be participating in the City's Centennial Ce~.ebration,
even though they are on vacation,
.NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that'the City of`Clermont dyes
.hereby proclaim its congratulations to the Clermont Highlander Band,
the Band Boosters., and Mr. Sid Davis, the .Band Director, for their
"SUPERIOR" Rating in .District V Competition and participation in the
. Centennial Celebration. It's the young adults in .the Clermont.
.Highlander Band, and the cooperative efforts of the Band Boosters and
the High School that make our community such an outstanding place in
which to live and work.
