WHEREAS, the natural beauty of Florida is evident to
all who visit here; and
WHEREAS, the importance of preserving this natural
beauty for our citizens and visitors to enjoy is paramount;
and
WHEREAS, with millions of tourists and residents
visiting the many outdoor recreational facilities, miles of
beautiful sandy beaches and parks, Florida is vulnerable to
littering; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs,
Incorporated, has always participated in a litter control
program to preserve our State's beautiful natural environ-
ment and will do so again in March and April 2982; and
WHEREAS, it is important to involve aZZ citizens and
tourists in Florida to participate in keeping our State eZean
and beautiful;
NOW THEREFORE, I, James Hosfcinson, by virtue of the
authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Clermont, do
hereby proclaim the month of March and April 2982 as
KEEP CLERMONT GLITTER CLEAN MONTHS
and urge aZZ citizens to make a special effort during these
months by participating in eZean-up projects and by not
littering our environment to keep Florida beautiful for
future generations.
