National Girl Scout Honorarium SundayP R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, the Scouting Organization for Girls is dedicated to
the teaching and training principles of God and Country to aZZ girls
regardless of race or creed, and,
WHEREAS, an honor oath to serve God, our Country, and our
FeZZotu ldankind to the best of our ability is a prerequisite for member-
ship in such an organization, and,
YIHEREAS, it is the privilege and duty of the American adult
citizenry to commemorate the high ideals as set forth by the Scouting
Organization, and,
WHEREAS, the Meek of March 12th through March 18th has been
designated as "National Girl Scout Week" and March 12th as~Girl Scout
Sunday "
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CLAUDE E. Sl90AK, JR. , Mayor o f the Ci tzU o f
Clermont, Florida, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby
Proclaim the week of March 12 through 18 of 1978, as
"NATIONAL GIRL SCOUT HONORARIUM 6,~EEK IN CLERMONT, FLORIDA" and,
March 12 of 1978 be appropriately proclaimed as,
"NATIONAL GIRL SCOUT HONORARIUM SUNDAY IN CLERA90NT, FLORIDA"
and ask all citizens to join me in paying tribute to the Girl Scouts
of America.
