tiVhereas, The Constitution of the United States of America, the guardian of our
liberties, embodies the principles of limited government in a Republic dedicated to rule by
law; and
~hereGiS, September I7, 2006 marks the two hundred nineteenth anniversary of
the framing of the Constitution of America by the Constitutional Convention; and
`1~VFiereas, It is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this
magnificent document and its memorable anniversary; and to the patriotic celebrations
which will commemorate it; and
1NFcereas, Public Law 9I5 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by
the President of the United States of America designating September I7th through 23rd as
Constitution Week.
NO'W, ~'Fierefore, I, Harold S. Turville, by virtue of the authority vested in me
as Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida do hereby proclaim the week of
September I7 - 23, 2006 as
CONSTITUTION WEEK
and ask our citizens to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the Constitution has in I787 by
vigilantly protection the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties.
In 1Nitness 1Nhereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City
of Clermont to be affixed this 22`h day of August of the year of our Lord 2006.
