Election~ City of Clermont '~~aya~"¢ ~zacfa~at~o~ The general election (a special election) of the City of Clermont shall be held on the 4th day of November, 1997, between the hours of seven o'clock A.M. and seven o'clock P.M. Eastern Standard Time in the Jenkins Auditorium at 691 Montrose Street, the South Lake Presbyterian Church at 131 Chestnut Street, and Kings Ridge Clubhouse at 1900 Kings Ridge Blvd. The purpose of this election is to elect: City Council Member to Group II (Two Year Term) City Council Member to Group IV (Two Year Term) A primary election for these two Council Member positions will be held on the 30th day of September, 1997 between the same hours and in the same locations as the General Election. At the November 4, 1997 General Election, the following question will be decided by the qualified voters of the City of Clermont: • OPTION TO GRANT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TAX INCENTIVES Shall the City Council of the City of Clermont be given the option to grant temporary property tax exemptions to new businesses and expansions of existing businesses pursuant to Art. VII, §3 of the State Constitution and Section 196.1995 of Florida Statutes? YES -For option to grant exemptions. NO -Against option to grant exemptions.
